One of our main objectives is to get people off the street. We do this by placing folks into a temporary place, such as a hotel, until we can help to get them in a permanent place like a shelter or a program. Some people are just offered a one way bus ticket.  We have so far got 32 people off the street.
Much of what we are donated is passed on to those in need. This includes food, clothing, personal items like soap and shampoo. We were also donated some bicycles. Jose was given one of the bikes. This is his main form of transportation to work and church. His last bike was damaged when he was hit by a car.

Colossians 1:13 For He has rescued us out from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves,

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

We do not exist just to give handouts but to give people a hand to get out of darkness and into God’s light. Our goal is to offer spiritual, emotional, economic and medical assistance by networking with other ministries and outreach organizations, churches and individuals.

Our main focus at present is the Fulton Industrial area off of I-20. We will be working with street people and others who need to connect with a Loving God and His Son, Jesus Christ.     We will be working toward the transformation of individuals into becoming the person God intends for them to be.

We are partnering with other ministries to learn and share methods, techniques and ideas to have as effective of an outreach as possible. We are gathering a list of programs and places to refer needy people for housing, counseling, addiction recovery, education, and direction so as to bring wholeness and health into the lives of the hurting, the hopeless, the homeless, the addicted, the confused, and the lost.

We are not a permanent place for housing or other long term needs but a temporary place of assistance on the Boulevard to rescue the perishing and care for the fallen. We wish to teach people self-reliance, and the value of hard work no matter how menial that work might be.

We are aware of the Biblical principle of  2 Thessalonians 3:10

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”

We do not view people with needs as inferior, but will treat true seekers with respect and integrity. We will approach each individual with the kind of impartiality that is shown in the statement that we are like, “one beggar showing another beggar where to find food.”
Our principle of approach will be based on this passage from the Bible:

Galations 6:1-5  Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load.
